Best friends and their favorites colors

Here she is done on time.
I think she is one of my favorites.
She will leave abroad soon, with her bright sister.
Danielle ordered this one with dark skin, but neutral color clothes.
She wear wool off-white pants, light orange silk top, which is one of my favorite colors this last year as you probably have noticed.
Her jacket made by unique orange yarn which Keren Shahar (my dearest friend) found at her Shenkar (the fashion design college) leftovers boxes.
I combined it while knitting with special yarn that make it look more floppy.
The silk of her top is from my shenkar leftovers boxes.
And here what Danielle wrote me about my colors choosing-
"And you and I are such good friends now that you psychically knew that orange is one of my favorite colors!!!!:):):)"
Sometimes it's so nice when you have the same favorites colors as your best friends...........

rescuing crafters

I woke up this morning with a strange and nervous mood, I always have this fear that I will have to look again for proper job with a proper income, and leave bobilina studio behind, only as a hobby for weekends. Sometimes this economic worries make me so stress so I don't know what should I do first. This week I want to finish the dark skin doll and I hope that this time I will keep my wishful schedule. It much more difficult when you don't have someone who make it for you, only these thinking can make me worried and stress. When I feel like that it always nice to pose the done dolls to pretend that they can craft the doll instead of me.

The crafty dogs and stupid mistake

Last week I had to finish some sketches to a commercials doll that some business women asked me to make.
I signed on confidence agreement so I can’t post more about it meanwhile.
It's took me much more time then it supposed to, and make me very nervous.
At the same time I also began to make costumed doll for Danielle.
This morning before I began to detailed her I read again her instructions.
Just to make sure that I remember what she asked for,
Then I found out that all my efforts were for nothing.
She asked for another dark skin doll and it was very clear written.
I feel so awful not just I am already at a delay now I have to began again.
The crafty dogs arrive to help and to cheer me up.
The light skin doll will have to waite again a little while to her identity.

The crafty dogs became bored by the new doll, She don't have face or hair yet, so she is not fun as grown up doll and they can’t have fun with her parts, cause she got her own body sewn already.

The happy dog

I always been told that my dolls and creatures are angry, sad or just insane.
So here is the happy crochet dog.
He made by crochet of mohair yarns, embroidery of cotton threads, and his tooth is glass bead. (I yet have all the tooth at my mouth).

Here she is.

I received this photo as a reference to the new costumed doll.
The instruction was light skinned African American with bright clothes and curly hair.
I always like these costumed work, although it's difficult at the beginning,
It's make me the opportunity to design the dolls at a ways I would never think about by myself.
I use this lurex cloth for her shirt, my dolls are usually wear only 100% cotton modest dress.
The sandals were also specially made for her, by using quality and bright silk satin, which I used also for the bag.
The jacket is crochet work with combination of two threads that make it look more floppy.
For creating the curly hair I crocheted cotton threads, washed and dried, ironed with steam and at the end unpicked it, and get a stack of curls that I had to sew into the head.






Well now I have to make another one.

I almost never can't finish project at time,
there is always more details that I want to change or to add.
and always everything long more then it suppose to.
The mess is expanding everywhere meanwhile.

The carfty dogs

I was busy last week and hardly found time to post. there is few projects that I were planning, one of them is almost done and I will post it soon.
I opened this box of ribbons in order to look ribbons to the up coming doll.
The dogs were curious as always to find treasurers for themselves, in order to color their black and white world.
