Keep up growing.

The baby is almost done.
Today I made the stupidest mistake, I cut the cloth skin suit too small.
I tried it on the doll, and tried to dress the doll up with this, tried to pull it over but it was yet too small for the doll measures.
This young baby was growing up quickly J
I tried my best, till I figured out that this using of force is not healthy, for both of us.
impatient and nervous I cut it again due to the baby real sizes, and sew it again.
Well now it's covered all over.
will post more soon, with the new head and faces.

Long time no see

Long time no see.
There is new dolls being done and some news to tell,
Let's begin with this crochet doll which is not specified yet, I have some idea about who she is going to be and how she is going to look like, but it's not completely clear to me yet.
I don't use neither sketches, pattern or knitting instruction. It's a bit like a magic when the doll is done, I can suddenly see someone coming out of my needle, like imaginary friend who becomes visible.
Well, the word "suddenly" is a bit wrong in this context, it's long hours, sometimes days , and hurt back bones.

This one is a new heavy baby doll.
It's going to weight like a new born baby, as the dolls I made for the slings workshop.

I put marbles inside the doll's body to make it 3kilos weight.
The crochet dogs had great fun playing with the leftovers.
Besides that I began to teach children at elementary school sewing crafts and dolls making.
It's was great fun.
I was really frightened at the beginning thought it could be nightmare.
It was a great surprise for me to see how eager they are for sewing.
Their excitement catched me too.
When I was at elementary school I was excited when there was computer class, especially when we learned to use the 80s prehistoric graphic programs, so maybe for nowadays children the sewing crafts has same effect.
Well ,there is so much to tell about that, so I will write an entire post about this subject soon.

Slippers week

Etsy kindly published my slippers as one of the feature items last Sunday,
it was there only for few hours but I received more orders then I used to.
Sewing these slippers is not fun as the dolls making.
I sew it with my industrial sewing machine, which easily sew the foamed plastic soles. it’s even don't take too much of work, approximatlly two or three hours.
When I finishing this part I have to sit down, and hand sewing all the stuff I can’t sew with the machine, it's mainly the white crochet thread and the studs.
I can hardly stand sewing the crochet thread but when I have to sew the studs I want to tear my head hairs out.
Yes I know I know I can use the studs machine and look for other solutions for sewing the thread.
I thought about it but then they wouldn't be the same as my doll shoes.
It's already Friday today, and after sewing four pairs of them, I can make them faster. and I yet have few hairs on my head and new crochet doll on the needle waiting to be done next week.
*After all you are yet invited to order them from my etsy store

It wasn't easy to pack the crochet anarchist.

He had to leave
it made the pinkhead doll sad.
At the few days that the anarchist spent at the studio he became her best friend.
She has other crochet friends like the redhead guy and lady, the crochet actor and dancer, but he was special.
I can understand her, he is one of my favorites doll.

When finally I took him to the post office, She began to organize the pieces of the new project I had to cut.

The redhead lady came to help.

The dogs were playing at the new fabric.

And few hours later the red slippers were done.

Tropical crocheting

New doll is been crocheted,
I put this old blanket at the top of a blankets stack,
which I used to put on the floor every night in front of the TV and very close to the blow heater.
Lately I don't take it of at the morning, it became a perfect tropical work space,
Mainly for crocheting.

This is my best crochet pencil case.

The elephant pin cushion integrating very well on this blanket.
I have this elephant at least 7 years, I didn't made him.
It's from McDonald’s surprises, I got it from one of my flat mates, in return for some beautiful chop sticks that I used to hold my hair with.
It seemed worthless then, but she beged me so much so I had no choice.
I guess she lost the chop sticks or cut her hair by now, but the elephant is yet extremely useful in spite all of the needles and pins that prick him every day.

The crochet guy is coming soon.

redhead, yellow dog, red shoes

Today I took the sunglasses holder and put it in my bag.
There wasn't much sun today but I knew that if I will not do that I would never know where it is when it be needed.
I put the cuff near my sewing machine, from the same reason.

The cloth dogs came to visit.

The red jackson pollock's dog tried to magnet himself to the magnetised couple.

And the yellow dog was hypnotized by the redhead's red shoes.

Who took my gift

Posted by bayan

The dolls found the wonderful gift I received few days ago from threegreenapples.

The redhead crochet doll took the sunglasses SafeSpex.

The magnetized dogs took the great cuff which I wanted to use as pin cushion cuff.
They didn't know how to use it.

They thought maybe the flapper doll will have an idea.

She hadn't.

But they really wanted to play,

so they help her to take her coat off.

and put the cuff on her hand.

It was too big to her hand and fell exactly on the dog nose.

The redhead crochet doll saw it and thought that maybe the flapper doll prefer her SafeSpex.

The girls were thinking how to use it and the dogs took the cuff together in order to bring it back to me.
