In a Moving Assembly Line

I received new order for a quantity of my slippers for an Australia designer shop. It’s the first time I have to multiply my slippers. It’s made me a bit nervous since this kind of order force me to work much more organized and efficient, not like I use to. I divided all the pieces to nylon bags in order to separate the different sizes.

I have three different colors, I began with the grey ones, I sew all of them together in a moving assembly line.

When one step is done I put the pieces back into the size nylon bag they were taken from.

Yesterday it was look like that, now only the white crochet thread is missing.

Oh and there is also new crochet dolls, that took my attention at the last two weeks, I will post about them soon and then the red slippers story, or the beige one....

Socks dolls

I had to teach at another workshop for the kids last week, I was a bit bored with all of the felt stuff and thought the kids might be bored too, so I decided to try the socks dolls, which I wanted to make for a long time. These dolls are really fun to make, and It's the first time I managed to design a smiling doll.

They can do many things and excersises.

There were few holes in this socks so I sew it and the dog got few colorful scars.
I forgot to take my camera so I don't have photos of the kids dolls, but they were cute and I enjoyed to see their creativity and improvising with the socks.
At the playtime one of the girls took this dog and told to herself "oh this dog is so cute" then she made a very funny puppet show with him.
I was really touched by it.
I have orders to finish this week then I am going to make few more of these ones.

Although the spring holidays have just ended ,
I received this wonderful reminder from Christmas at Atlanta city only few days ago, and I can’t wait till the next December so I am posting it now .

I haven't been to Atlanta by my self it's only my yellow dog (middle bottom) who went by himself.

The all tree looks like that, and I hold the photo up to the light, since the friend of mine who sent it, marked the names of all the artists, who contribute their creations to her amazing tree, at the back side of each photo.

There is three photos of it from three different points of view.

The close ups are for the new 2006 arrivals. The first fives at this page made by Meeces2peeces, the two lovely girls are made by Jennybird, and the socks dolls at the bottom are made by Threerowscawing.

These lovely creatures are all by Curster and the (my favorites).
I feel so proud that my little yellow dog is spending with all of this wonderful creatures and dolls,
and I was already commissions for next year tree.

Happy holidays.

Just wanted to wish happy holidays to everyone.
I am not a great fan of the holydays season neither my dolls,
I received so many wishes for happy Easter, and happy Passover, so I wanted to send something of my own too.
It’s began like that.

It wasn't happy enough without some cloth dog.

And the dog immediately call to his yellow and red friends.
Since he wanted a crochet glasses for a long time he invited the crochet actor too, and adopted his glasses.

Good holidays photo requiered a robotic cat and robotic dog.

It became too boring on the shelf so Julia just came to see what's up.

Some were almost crashed.

Mainly when boby the god-father of all of my dolls decided to join and give his blessings to everyone.

At the end it's looked like that.
Happy holiday everyone.
