When Greenblue and Red-face woke up from their afternoon nap they were curious about this catalogue of the "Thirty Something" exhibition I am taking part in. I already wrote about this exhibition and about my work there.
The exhibition is going to travel to different locations in the following year or years, I don't have all the details about all the locations, but will update as soon as I will get them.
Tomorrow anyway, the exhibition will be opened at Antwerp, Belgium. You can see details here.
Unfortunately I am not going to attend the event (it is bit too far). Gerlinde, Herwig and all the rest of art organization art27 will be there, far as I know they also serve very nice beers and Belgian deserts, so if you happen to be around you are very welcome!

Afternoon in the studio

Greenblue, Red-face, Sheep dog and Cats dog, spent some time together this afternoon (the big advantage of being dolls is that they never have to work in the afternoon). Red- face was trying to read his book while Sheep dog was bored and tried to catch some attention. Cats dog didn't pay attention, it was really concentrated in its book.

Sheepdog decided to give it a try too.

Meanwhile Red-face and Greenblue caught their afternoon nap.

While they were napping the dogs got bored by reading so they tried to see whether they can use the book in a different way.

Not much to do with this book, they will try the other one.

The cats dog and the sheep dog

Remember that I asked if you ever thought what kind of socks would you be if you were socks?
Well those dogs took it seriously, really seriously, they spent a long time wondering what kind of socks would they be.

It ended up like this: when this dog saw the sheep socks he felt that this is the answer - he is definitely sheep socks.

The same happened to this dog with the cats socks.

Socks couple

Here they are, my new socks couple, the Red-face and Green blue girl!
Today, finally, they have been done. No need to look for socks to create themselves so now they got some time to read the socks books I stitched yesterday.

The doll and the mirror

I painted the dolls face features today.

For the first time they noticed the mirror I have on my desk.

Greenblue-face girl took a look too

and a closer look. She wasn't really satisfied, she never thought that this is the doll she would grow up to be.

I convinced her and the Red-face boy to take a nap, I told them they would be surprised tomorrow morning.

What could it be they wondered just before the felt in sleep.

Red-face & Greenblue-face on Saturday afternoon

Bored by the quietness of Saturday afternoon when nothing is going on over here,

The socks dolls dug again in the pile of socks, it was far more organized in the cloth bowls after I put all the fruits & vegetables back to the kitchen.

With only holes for eyes the Red-face boy was trying to match the perfect sock, eyes that would make the world look much prettier.

The Greenblue-face girl already got some socks for her mouth and eyes,

and she even tattooed a lion all over her arm and shoulder.

Cloth Bowls

I am so glad I am over all the stress of the last two months, it is such a great feeling to have some time for design and create new stuff, I missed it so much.

These cloth bowls actually aren't so new but they were waiting on my desktop for so long, till I got the time to shot them properly.

If you didn't guess yet they are the third part of my "let's cloth it project".

There are three of them:

Small

Medium

and large!

I just listed them at my Etsy store today.

Now I am going back to my new socks dolls, will tell more about them in few days.

For the princess of the flowers

Two weeks ago, my five years old niece left me a voicemail: in a very official tone she instructed me to phone her back.
She had an assignment for me! Purim (the Jewish costume holiday) is in two weeks and she needs some shoes for her costume - "The Princess of the flowers"
So today finally they are done.

Finally back!

Without even noticing, time just run away and my blog left behind without any news for so long.
The last month was crazy here, you already saw some of it at the last post, but it was only a bit. I was sewing and sewing as if there is no economic crisis out there.
One week I caught an awful flu, it lasted all over the week and I could do nothing. I found out that sewing is the most complicated activity to do with fever.
After one week in bed there suddenly was a work for two weeks to do in only one. I was close for loosing my sanity, but finally this weekend I was sewing the last two projects in this wave.
Now, I can breath for a while and look forward for more orders to sew, soon hopefully.
